Mazda's second fully electric model the CX-6e crossover arrives in Australia this year.

Making its global debut at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9, the CX-6e adopts Mazda’s “Future + Soul x Modern” Kodo-design concept.

It combines aesthetic sophistication with advanced technologies, and delivering Mazda’s signature Jinba-ittai experience with pure electric confidence.

Mazda's Vinesh Bhindi said confirming the CX-6e for the Australian market is a monumental moment for the company.

"The design is bold and striking, bringing a new evolution of the Kodo Soul of Motion philosophy that Mazda customers know and love," he said.

"And when you pair this unmistakable craftsmanship with the acclaimed Jinba-Ittai driving dynamics and cutting-edge technology, it’s clear that this is not just another EV -- it’s a Mazda through and through.”

CX-6e follows close on the heels of the Mazda 6e sedan, developed in collaboration with the Chinese Chongqing Changan Automobile.

Both are based on the same platform as the Deepal S07 launched here last year which means a single electric motor, rear-wheel drive, an 80kWh battery and a range of around 475km.

More details, including pricing and specifications, will be revealed closer to launch.
