Pagoda charges into the future

Everrati has added the iconic Mercedes-Benz SL Pagoda to its growing lists of electrified classics.

Founded in 2019 and based in Oxfordshire, the British company does not actually manufacture any cars.

What it does is restore and modify existing classics, enabling customers to use and enjoy in a low carbon world.

Everrati's line-up includes a variety of Porsches, the 911 (964) Coupe, Targa, Cabriolet in Pure, Signature, and Gulf Signature Editions and ST-inspired G-Series.

Land Rover gets a look in with the Land Rover Series IIA, Range Rover Classic and Land Rover Defender.

Then there's the Ford GT40 in partnership with Superformance, including officially licensed Gulf Edition -- and from now the Mercedes-Benz W113 SL ‘Pagoda’.

Paul Bracq’s styling masterpiece, the Pagoda-roof Mercedes-Benz W113 SL was built to exceptional standards, from cast-aluminium door shells to individually numbered alloy bonnet, bootlid and door skins.

Available in 230SL, 250SL and 280SL form, the Pagoda is pure, engineered glamour for both men and women and remains one of the most stylish cars of all time.

The W113 was always glamorous and expensive (twice as much as a 4.2 E-type), with Charlton Heston and John Lennon among star owners in period.

John Travolta, David Coulthard, Jason Orange, Kate Moss and Harry Styles have been recent owners.

With a 68kWh battery and a new OEM-grade 3 phase AC motor, custom single speed 1.90:1 gearbox and regenerative braking, the converted Benz delivers 224kW of power, 0-100km/h in less than 7.0 seconds, top speed of 200km/h and range of more that 320km.

Custom designed dials, show vital information while maintaining ‘original’ appearance.

The finished car is close to original weight and weight distribution, and the conversion process is reversible, maintaining value and options into the future.
