Jeep Australia has confirmed its all-new Avenger compact SUV will be coming to Australia in 2024 as the brand’s first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV).

Avenger BEV, not to be confused with the Dodge Avenger from a decade ago, is a key component in Jeep’s global electrification strategy with the goal of becoming the world leader in fully-electric zero exhaust emission SUVs.

Built at the Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, the Avenger has been designed as a Jeep vehicle from day one.

Since it was unveiled in October 2022, Avenger has taken out a number of awards including the European Car of the Year 2023, World’s Best Family SUV in the Women’s World Car of the Year Awards, 2023 Electric Car of the Year in TopGear.com Electric Awards and Best Small Car at the 2023 Autocar Awards 2023.

At just 4.08 metres it is smaller than Renegade and the most compact Jeep, but we’re told it provides a versatile interior, comfortably fitting five people and luggage including 34 litres of interior storage.

Jeep Avenger offers zero exhaust emissions and, subject to local homologation, electric range of up to 400km under the WLTP test regime.

Standard fast charging mode allows to recharge 30km (average daily need) in three minutes, and to go from 20 to 80 percent in 24 minutes.

Jeep Avenger has been designed to offer 360-degree protection and full freedom of movement.

Its 360-degrees shock protection encased protected lights and colour-moulded skid plates.

A complete series of safety and ADAS features which provide level-2 driving autonomy include: Blind Spot Monitoring, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Vulnerable Road Users (pedestrian and cyclist) protection, automatic parking and 180-degree rear camera with drone view.

Infotainment features include a 10.25-inch radio screen Uconnect Infotainment combined with full digital cluster available in two variants -- 7.0 and 10.25 inches (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) (26.04 cm) as standard.

Jeep Avenger will arrive in Australian showrooms in the second half of 2024.
